"The staff were helpful, the environment was clean, and the stay was generally peaceful with no disturbances. However, we were disappointed with the swimming pool facilities for families with children. There was no separate pool for kids, and the main pool was 1.3 metres deep. Surprisingly, the hotel had designated this pool for family and children's swimming sessions between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., which did not seem practical or safe. "The Coal Exchange is a lovely old building which has been turned into a hotel with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The bed was comfortable although there was some wear showing on the headboard/ wall behind the bed(room 143). The bathroom had a large Jacuzzi bath and a rainfall shower. The toiletries provided smelt gorgeous! There were two large windows looking out onto the road beside the hotel which was surprisingly quiet.
