Very cute motel. Great for the price. We had 3 beds, microwave and fridge. Shower pressure was good. Walls are thin and the neighbors... well I wouldn't feel safe walking around alone as a woman. Breakfast is prepackaged oats, some fruit, and saran wrapped muffins. Would stay here again with friends, but not a place I'd take for a romantic getaway or for family.

This motel looks very cute in pictures. But up close it is shabby and dirty. Dirt in the corners, terrible paint jobs, everything just looks old, worn and grimy. The beds were uncomfortable and cheap, with flat & hard pillows. No AC, but they do provide a fan and you can open the main windows to the outer courtyard, which isn’t ideal if you are asleep.

It was what I expected but it can be so much more the theme and everything is great they just need to work on the rooms a little bit. Having a light switch just for the bathroom would be much better than having one that lights up that whole side of the room that way you're not bothering your partner if you get up early in the morning and want to take a shower without waking them

The rooms are cute and simple. Unfortunately we were given the incorrect room code, and due to some customers before us have a plumbing issue, they weren't able to help very quickly. The main issue with the room was the wiring. The outlet near the fridge and the bathroom outlets did not work unless the light was on. They had used a not-safe-looking set of power strips and short extension cords to route power to the fridge and microwave from the bed area. Unfortunately for us, we also noticed too late that this cord was not correctly plugged in since it was partially under the bed, and thought we just had a non-working fridge and microwave.

I will never stay here again. Not enough parking. Shower is literally only 5 feet high. The 60s theme is matched with stuff that hasn’t been restored since the 60s. No coffeemaker in the room. Toilet only flushes if you hold the flusher for a long time. Floors super lumpy and slanted. Tv is tiny. OLD super uncomfortable spring bed. Terrible lighting. Tweakers in half the rooms and on the property. The continental breakfast is just wrapped up homemade muffins and a couple old bananas. Stay the heck away.

We picked this place because of the 50's theme AND because they offer a small quick continental breakfast. Nothing fancy, muffins, oatmeal, pop tarts, coffee, fea, cocoa, apple cider. The staff is amazing, pleasant, and helpful! The room was clean, the bed was very comfy.

At 6:30pm, I received a late check in text from the property. At that time I figured it was just in case I arrived at a late hour. I arrived at the property at 7:10pm, only to find the office closed. In the check in text, the office had randomly assigned me an upstairs room without first asking if I might prefer a downstairs (as I have bad knees, a downstairs room would have been much better). After I got to the room and set myself up, I turned on the tv, only to find I had no picture. I texted the service number provided by the property - twice, without receiving any response. After some research, I found which company provided the cable for the property and searched their website. Over an hour after arriving at the room, I finally had tv. When I went to check out in the morning, the office was still closed, so I texted the number from which they sent me the late check in text to inform them that I was checking out. This property is the first where I have experienced these issues with check in and out.

I expected it to be old and it definitely was. It was clean. Lighting was poor and the furniture extremely uncomfortable. Cheap style uncomfortable mattress. No coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. The office doesn't open until nine am on any day. So if you want coffee before nine am, you have to go somewhere to get it. That was frustrating and disappointing. The place is definitely unique. I would not stay here again.

I thought the rented room was great. The retro vibe was really cool. The continental breakfast was okay, but the selection was minimal. It would have been nice to have toast and bagels as an option. Maybe some fruit juice as well. As a suggestion I would move it away from the door to the other side of the lobby.

It was very noisy overnight-homeless person screaming for hours! Half of the electrical outlets did not work. Broken lamp beside the bed so it was very dark. (No overhead lights). Bathroom is dated and was not as clean as I would have liked. Very limited breakfast. They should not advertise as having breakfast. No one was in the front desk when we tried to go down and talk to someone. I did like the 50s vibe. Lobby is cute. Would never stay here again though.

Ok if you are on a budget
I have stayed here before-honestly, a decent place overall, with a good price. Pros are walking proximity to food and cocktails, good tv, ease to downtown. Cons are older beds, bedding and pillows, road noise and no coffee maker in room. What was once kitschy is now getting a little tired and dated. Still-I would probably stay here again.

I really wanted to like this place. I support small businesses and appreciated that they were able to revamp an old space using accent pieces. However, my experience here was terrible. When my partner and I arrived to drop off our bags at the motel, we noticed a tv blaring in the next room over. We shrugged it off and went out for some food. Upon our return, the tv was still blaring. We thought that for sure, whoever was in that room would need to sleep at some point. Alas, the tv blared all night and, given that the front desk closes at 9, there wasn't much we could do. Adding insult to injury, we couldn't even drown out the noise with our own tv as it unfortunately did not work. The next morning, I wrote a text to the motel line that had contacted me about my reservation, informing them of the issue. They didn't respond. So, my partner went to the front desk and let them know that we barely slept due to a blaring tv, which we suspected by morning was in an unoccupied room. They said they'd seen the text and confirmed that the room was unoccupied. The person who'd cleaned the room must have left it on. My counter to that excuse is to ask: what amount of crack does one have to take to not notice that the tv is cranked up full volume as they leave the room? What's worse is the lack of response we got to our complaints. They blamed us! They said we should have called the emergency line to which we responded. . . I ran out of space here. Positives - cheap and quaint. Has potential to be a good place to stay. Negatives - Not very clean, seems like it’s about ready to fall apart, terrible beds, paper thin walls and ceilings. We’ve stayed there twice now (in different rooms) and feel like we can judge it fairly. Staff is nice.

Charming retro 60s motel
This little gem sits along the main drag in Astoria like it always should have been there. Cute and small, it's decked out like the Jetsen's. It's an older property, but spic and span and very affordable. They offer parking and breakfast. Breakfast is minimal, but there's a perfectly great cafe located just next door. It was quiet and a real bargain.

This is a very lovely vintage hotel for a stay in Astoria. You will not be directly in the center of town but are easily able to walk there. The property was safe, clean, and everyone that worked there was nice. We did not try the small breakfast but it looked like a cute assortment of fruit and muffins with drip coffee that was setup to go with you. The two things I would warn someone about involve the bathroom area. First there is one switch for both the lights at the sink area outside the rest of the bathroom and the lights/fan for the inside of the bathroom. So if you are traveling with someone, you have the choice in the middle of the night of no lights or blasting them with lights and the fan if you decide to use the bathroom. Second, the shower head is placed for short people. I am not a tall person and it was even a bit short for me. Nothing that one can't overcome, but perhaps someone on the tall side might not be very comfortable with this situation. If you are booking here you should not expect the Ritz but it is a solid and quirky choice. I would stay here again even knowing the couple of issues I mentioned.

We got some really bad weather and they were not sympathetic to people that were stranded. Not saying that they should have given rooms out for free or anything but even a late checkout they weren't willing to accommodate even though they had no business because the roads were bad. I will never stay there again.
