Love staying here every year when we visit. A few things have been changed “updated” since our last visit. While I understand them I think it was perfect before the changes. Still about to book our trip for next year! Location is great, everyone is friendly.
Was a really nice hotel to stay they have really nice rooms and it is very tidy and clean except it is really noisy at night due to the clubs

Disliked: Cleanliness
Nice modern rooms. Nice comfy bed and pillows and good heating. Not entirely clean we found rose petals in our room which we hadn’t brought and had to ask for dressing gowns as on Expedia states that’s what you get given. Also doesn’t sleep 3 people in one room like states - my friend had to sleep on the sofa bit which isn’t a bed. Overall not the best but not the worst.
Cleaning could be better, rose leaves under the bed from previous guest, bathtub didnt work properly and had hairs in it, and the bathrobes where not placed in the room
Price, location and staff is good
Excellent room. Jacuzzi bath made it extra special. You need to wear ear plugs at night other it would be difficult to sleep with noise from bars and nightclub. 10 minutes on train to Amsterdam and trsins are very regular. Restaurants all very close by. Would definitely visit again
Very spacious room, but be mindful that the bathroom doesn't have a door and is open so if you're rooming with a friend, it might be a problem. Location is very good, there's a cheap parking area close to the hotel. Check in was a little difficult since it's in another hotel so could be hard to find. Requested a fridge and it was given timely as they have a Whatsapp number that you can contact anytime. Good dining options in the area too. Try Rosey's Tapas.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The hotel has a great location with the Zaadam train station, the room is very spacious and comfortable.
The customer service is bad, when we arrived at the hotel, it had no customer service staff, it was chaos because of the Amsterdam marathon and we had no information about it.
They must improve communication, the internet and customer service. My experience was very bad.

Got locked out for the night at 10.30 pm
I was very happy with the room and the staff, which were fabulous.
Unfortunately, on the 8th, around 10.30 PM, I got locked out when my keycard didn't work on the door. I tried to call the number provided several times, and didn't get through to anyone. I was very upset and started to panic.
Luckily I wasn't travelling entirely solo this trip, and was able to stay with a friend in his hotel, which was uncomfortable because I was so upset. It was very stressful that there was no sort of emergency number to call, and I had no way to contact anyone. All my clothes and belongings were in the room too, so I had to sleep in my clothes.
The next day, one of the staff replaced my keycard with a working one, and I was able to freshen up.
Aside from this the air filter needs to be changed according to the climate control panel, so there was some dust in the air.
I've emailed the hotel about the above a week ago, and didn't hear back. Even though when I was checking out, the very kind staff member said they'd send an email.
This feedback should be easy to action to avoid similar experiences going forward. I'd suggest checking all filters for the rooms, and setting up an "out of hours" emergency number for when the bar is closed. If it weren't for these issues, my rating would have been a 5 star experience.
Great hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The only major feedback I would like to give is that the name of the hotel is not on the building and was very hard to find unless you know they’ll just change names..
We had a hard time figuring out how to get in because we were looking for Manzo's instead of the Monument, but once inside it was wonderful! It is walkable from the train station, which we needed.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Would definitely like to stay here again for a future trip!
I was overall pretty disappointed with this hotel.
It's right in the middle of a plaza of bars -- which will either be a great thing or terrible thing based on your preference -- but it does make the stay noisy and not very relaxing.
The condition of the hotel was also questionable. There was a musty smell that pervaded the whole hotel and my room, the hot water never really worked, and the mattress and pillows should have been replaced years ago.
As for service, it's absent. There is a front desk _of sorts_ but it was never staffed near as I could tell. You're pretty much on your own if you need help.
Other than the price being fairly reasonable, there really not much to like here. I've had better stays at roadside motels.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
Following my stay over the weekend that has just passed, I would like to file a literal complaint. This stay has got to be the worst stay I have ever had. Nobody greeted us to our room and let us know of any details of the room or how to get into the room. We had to figure out how to get in there ourselves, once we were able to find our room, we got in and it had not been cleaned properly. The toilet smelt like an ash tray. The shampoo / cream area for hand washing was literally filled with dust (pictures see it wasn't even filled to the top, so literally nearly finished.
During the entire evening, it was so loud music didnt stop until 4am
