"A lovely friendly welcome from Michael at reception. All the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The fan was a definite bonus in the hot weather although the room stayed fairly shaded too. There was some traffic noise but it didn't disrupt my sleep at all (room 16). "Mal the owner of the B&B was very friendly and easy to get along with. The room was spotless and the breakfast was delicious, set me up nicely for the day ahead. I would definitely recommend this B&B."

"Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained ."

Sink and refrigerator were nice. 2 free water bottles. 10-15 minutes from city center. The room in the loft was not good at all. The ceiling on some parts were so short so I hit my head twice. "Views - large construction site outside. Room - mould in the bathroom on the ceiling, toilet did not flush properly. No lock on bathroom door. Duvet and pillows were of a very low quality. Breakfast - We went to breakfast early (6:30) which resulted in no staff present. Gluten free food was available on request but unable to do so. Fried breakfast was lukewarm. Coffee machine broken. Decided to try somewhere nice and was sadly letdown."

The shower was spacious with excellent water pressure. Tasty cooked breakfast. Location was great, about a 20 min walk in to York City Centre. Highly recommend."
