"We really enjoyed our stay at Southgate Hotel & Suites. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the free breakfast was a plus. Starbucks is close by and several places to eat.
The drive to the Yosemite Welcome Center from the hotel is about 1 hour 20 minutes. We would stay here again:)"

"We stayed here 2 nights. I would not recommend this hotel. We picked this hotel for the free breakfast and hot tub as it was the only one available with rooms that offered this for our last minute booking. Breakfast was ok and the hot tub was closed. My rating isn’t based on either of those though. We had to change rooms after check in due to our first room had disgusting sheets with reddish stains on them. Also the fridge didn’t work. Upon changing rooms, the new rooms a/c unit made clicking sounds which made it hard to sleep at night. The remote control for the TV was taped together to hold the batteries in. Also some of our towels had stains on it. Would never stay here in the future. Would pay the extra money for less “amenities” but for a cleaner and more professionally run hotel. "

"Not all rooms are renovated. We stayed in an older room with a small bathroom and shower that leaked out. The bathroom was not completely clean. The hot tub and pools had bugs in them, and the indoor pool was broken the first day. "
