"We had good reviews from friends so we planned for the Holiday Inn express and it was perfect for what we needed close to all the squares and old Savannah and Wright on the trolley stop across the small little street so convenient and the staff was amazing. Always nice to have a warm breakfast and a place to drink coffee in the lobby as well as a cocktail if you like great location great people great service couldn’t ask for more."

"My wife and I spent a number of nights here. The rooms aren't bad at all. However, there were some snags.
Advertised is an in-house restaurant and bar. Well--- sort of. The restaurant is closed (at least) on Sundays and several mornings it was just closed for breakfast-- don't know why. And when they were open, they were out of a lot of ingredients, making about half the menu un-orderable. Made us wonder how fresh the other ingredients were.
Advertised is a free shuttle downtown...

"I chose this place because it was in the historic part of the city. It was very convenient to all walking areas and the river front. However, the hotel itself is very dated!! Now if you are looking for the haunting effects it is the place, given that it is on the haunted list of places to visit in Savannah but that wasn’t for me!!! Didn’t sleep well; therefore, I can’t recommend this place!"

"The staff were excellent, super friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for walking throughout the historic district. My only complaint, and Aloft is not the only chain that I’ve had this issue with, but the hard surface floors don’t appear to be cleaned with any regularity. Leave your shoes on in the room if you don’t want your socks to turn black. The friendly staff made up for that though. :)"
