"VFI is very close to Volcano National Park and it was the main reason why we chose to stay here. The house is nestled in the rainforest with a short drive from the main road so its very quiet. Our room is spacious with many windows facing the rainforest and a big patio. Our room is comfortable and pleasant. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The host, Jon, is also a very nice guy and approachable. Breakfast is a grab and go and has plenty of fresh fruits which is a bonus! "

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Volcano Ranch. It is super convenient to Volano Park, but also a gem unto itself. The animals are delightful and our room overlooking the pond was super warm and cozy on a cool, rainy day. Every detail has been considered to make your stay here as comfortable as possible. Shipman Cove Beach... 2.5 miles from the end of the road to the cove. Great hike through a jungle that leads to a beach covered in lava. The hike then turns into a climb over lava, loose stone and boulders. The cove is a nesting spot for Green Sea Turtles and passing Humpback Whales. We had the cove to ourselves and these guys.
