"We stayed here for 4 nights, and enjoyed the hotel. Our room (mountain view does not mean Matterhorn) was a good size, comfy beds and seating. A Kettle to make tea and coffee was appreciated. Hotel is just a 5 min walk from the train station and a supermarket, and close to many restaurants. They serve a good breakfast, as well as complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon. Overall, good location, good sized room and good breakfast made for a pleasant stay. "

"This was a unique hotel in the center of Zermatt that was easily accessible. The room was quaint and nicely laid out. The only problem we had was the smoking area was directly below our window and we could not keep our window open because of the smoke going into our room and the loud talking by the smokers. We asked for a new room and were immediately assisted with sincere apologies. The restaurant inside the hotel was wonderful. We would eat there again if this was a restaurant at home."

"Lovely preserved hotel that brings you back in time right in the middle of Lauterbrunnen. Part of the front of the hotel was used in the James Bond movie “Her Majesty’s Secret Service” back in the 1960’s. The scenery from the hotel terrace and front patio is spectacular! However, I strongly suggest booking a larger room and not the single room for 1. It was tiny and I struggled with fitting an open suitcase on the floor. The bathroom was even tinier and if you are over 6’ - you will be hunched over - especially in the shower. But the great service and super restaurant made up for it. "
