"First time staying with as a family of 3 with a young toddler. Half board included breakfast and dinner which was different for the 2 nights we stayed. Great rooms, clean and spacious. Hotel exterior was also very peaceful and nice. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Superb service. Will be back again!"

"We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location is just a few minutes away from the bus station. About a 15 minute walk to Sanmachi area. They provided yukatas for us to wear. The bath was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed our Japanese traditional breakfast. The staff were excellent and attentive. We would recommend staying here if visiting Takayama! "

"This was our first ryokan experience. The service was incredible throughout - very easy to communicate with the hotel team, who were very responsive and helpful. The staff were all super welcoming throughout our stay. The interior is beautiful, and the gardens are stunning. Our room was large, bright and calming, with a private bath. "This was amazing onsen beside the Yubatake (which is right in front on the hotel) so you are in the middle of the town they have Yukata you can borrow and take wear to walk and take pictures outside too. Breakfast and dinner had a lot of options and was really good. Make sure to Book Hal-Board, it is worth it! They have onsen eggs for breakfast too! The only downside is that it is a bit old and the walls are thin so can be noisy when people talk on the hallway but Overall this was an...

"A nice stopover on way from Niseko to Sapporo. Lovely large rooms. Did not love everything from the kaiseki dinner but the beef sukiyaki was good. Booked the private cypress bath so that we could bathe as a family but i would skip this next time and head straight for the public bath on the high level - large with a view of the forest."

"Very local onsen hotel. Roomy & spacious room, comfy beds, beautiful and well kept onsen, ladies/men separated. Delicious buffet, only stayed 1n, heard same menu each day. I love all the Japanese sides. Bring yen if shopping at gift shop, can't use cc. Check in at 3pm. 860 yen for taxi from train to hotel.. Yukatas provided. Plan on returning."
