"The location is beautiful and understandable that it is in an ancient rainforest, however it doesn’t excuse the mould in some of the rooms or the hair that was clogging the sinks and showers. On arrival we decided to have lunch as they prepped our room, we found flies in our salads, not one but three. We had a 1.5 year old with us, so you can only imagine our shock when the room smelt of damp. They finally agreed to changing our room to only find more damp growing even on the pictures displayed...

"1. Saw a snake at gym entrance 2. Have more varieties of pastries / cakes / non alcoholic drinks at the pelangi bar beachfront for everyone to enjoy 3. To have electric scooters for rentals 4. Pelangi grill area was too hot during our seafood dinner.. no aircon as it was open air n no wind 5. Overall pleasant stay 4.9 stars! "

"We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Langkawi trip and wished we stayed longer. Whilst the rooms may be somewhat dated for a 5*, the customer service at this hotel is exceptional. After checkin they got in touch by WhatsApp to let us know they were available for any assistance 24’7. The facilities were nice, the staff were extremely polite and attentive. It was a real bonus seeing monkeys around the resort, (wish they had come to our balcony!) We didn’t have to wait long for a buggy and...

"Great location - 2 mins from beach and near local shops &facilities. Good size room. Bathroom is a little tired around the the edges but good shower. Lots of rules & warning notices re breakages! Loved the open air roof top bar that had a welcome breeze! Bargain cocktails too 😊"

"Frangipani remains a relaxing choice on Langkawi. A little tired in places but still green and spacious with direct access to a long patch of quiet beach. Good breakfast 50 rm . Immediate locality is disappointing several sites along road derelict post COVID and fewer local eateries but hotel itself remains well run"
