"Had a lovely stay here for my boyfriend’s birthday. The hotel has a lot of curb appeal and the staff very friendly. Easy check in and easy to also find our room. We had a view over looking the carpark and the hotel were fully booked so no option to upgrade. The room had everything you needed, the bathroom was almost as big as the room itself! "The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area."

"Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Pub staff also, and kindly gave my father no less than 5 different tasters of beers so he could decide what to drink! Lovely quirky interior - looks small from the outside but had lots of different small dining areas inside. Only tiny drawback was the very steep hill up from the rooms furthest away from reception. I hadn't seen it flagged on anything but that may have been because I used a third party site to book online"
