Independent Kumamoto hotels

"Great location, just a 2-3min walk from Kumamoto Station/ Amu Plaza. We were blessed with a high floor twin room with good view of the city. Room is tight & would be tough to open up luggage but it was ok for us as we had couriered our large luggages to the next hotel. Beds were ok and the free breakfast was basic but adequate & yummy to me. Great value for the price."

"The hotel is very close to the train station, bus lines, and street cars. Staff was helpful and stored our luggage before we were able to check in. Breakfast buffet was included, although not recommended."

"It’s a nice hotel, but there are a couple of things that they could improve! The location is close to the tram so I had no issues whatsoever. Staff was very nice and helpful and it’s nice not to do a check out (you have a code, no keys). On the first floor there’s an area where you can take some useful stuff like a toothbrush, a bar open at specific times and a restaurant. The restaurant is really high quality and I strongly recommend you try its local cuisine menu! On the second floor you have some rooms and additional services: - coin laundry and water refill station (super useful!) - onsen (wonderful!) - smoking area (unfortunately. The smell was often in the corridor, disgusting! Not what I want after the onsen) I’d change that, the fact that in certain hours there’s nobody at reception and the fact that they give you a ugly pj instead of yukata (come on!)"

"The room was cozy but nice. Everything you need was there. The staffs were courtesy and helpful. The location was perfect too: a little walk about 5-10 min to the downtown area. Overall, it was convenient and nice. We enjoyed our stay."
