Very clean and convenient to many attractions and resturaunts. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Kumamoto! I hope to return soon!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Kumamoto Hotel Castle. The location was very convenient to all the local buses, lots of shopping and dining options, and many activities. Our room was very nice. We reserved the deluxe room, city view. It was extremely spacious, modern, and very comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay again next time we visit.
Parking was right in front of the hotel although the number of lots are limited. Room is spacious. A shopping street is just a short walk away with retail outlets and eateries. Kumamoto castle is only a few minutes walk away.
Good location, had a great view of the castle, friendly staff, able to park right outside, nice interior, nice rooms. Felt a little too fancy for our simple selfs but every one was great. Highly recommend. Bar a little expensive though.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Old hotel with spacious renovated room. conveniently located near castle and shopping. Free parking onsite was a major plus. Downside was the use of a room key with a huge key fob, most inconvenient to carry around. Service was impersonal but professional.
Wonderful hotel with views of Kumamoto Castle. However, the window in our room didn’t provide as good a view of the castle as we had expected. Hotel is lovely and the staff is wonderful.
Staff was excellent very polite & accommodating, property was very clean the entire building inside & out. No complaints 10/10 would recommend when staying in Kumamoto
Very classy hotel and convenient to walk around downtown Kumamoto. Staffs are very polite, yet friendly and comfortable to stay there. Breakfast was creative to offer local specialty to try. Love the music (smooth jazz) that you can have in the guest room and dining area. Highly recommend to experience class hotel with long history where the emperors stayed in the past.
We stayed for 2 nights in Kumamoto. The hotel is located conveniently within a short distance to the castle and near to shops and eateries.
Parking is available on site and you have to leave your car keys with the hotel and exchange with a parking slip whenever you need to retrieve the car.
It seems more of a businesss hotel and there was also a wedding reception on one of the days we were there.
We had a great experience in Kumamoto and honestly there was nothing we could fault with the hotel.
