We could not complain about the value we received from our Club room. From our arrival at the airport; check-in; the room comfort, quality and outlook; the top quality of all food in the restaurants; the pools and grounds; to check out; and trip back to the airport.
OK, if you insist... a couple of minor issues... the pool opening and closing times seemed a bit erratic. We were told one thing by counter staff and the signs and actual closing times... all three could be different. For example, we would walk past a pool 15 minutes before closing and it was deserted - no bathers, no sun-lounge people, no staff, no lights.
The hotel staff were perfect - housekeeping, always a cheerful genuinely friendly greeting; restaurant staff (waiters, kitchen staff) and grounds/pool staff the same. BUT for some reason many of the counter staff in 5* hotels genuinely think they need to take professionalism way over the top... to be stiff, unfamiliar with the guests almost to the point of unfriendly. I think it should be compulsory, every month, to watch Michael J Fox in "The Concierge" to see how you can be professional without making customers feel uncomfortable.
I had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel.
The staff were super friendly on my arrival and tried to cater for my son and I throughout the trip.
The room was a bit on the small side. I'm used to much bigger but we managed.
It was inconvenient having the pool out of service bug the gym was well equipped and the beach was nearby.
The mini bar is absolutely extortionate. A Pepsi costing 20 dihrams where in a shop it would be 1 or 2! I only discovered this towards the end of the trip.
Room service was great especially as we visited during Ramadan and eating in public is forbidden during daylight hours.
However when you can eat you have a wide range of restaurants on your doorstep. Walking distance away!
In all the positives definitely outweigh the negatives and I would 100% recommend this hotel.
Oh. Please make use of the free shuttle to the mall. It's very convenient and FREE!!
Mövenpick JLT is only across the road from Dubai Marina (party central), however because of the way Dubai roads are, you almost have to take a taxi there - although you're only looking at 15 AED (>£3). The Metro station is also very close to the hotel and that provides easy transport facilities to Dubai Mall and The Mall of the Emirates.
Mövenpick staff are friendly from the receptionists to the cleaners. Everyone is always looking to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. Would definitely recommend.

A sensory welcome. Guests will be transported from the chaos of the road to a sense-awakening oasis that refreshes and …More
The Ritz at Jumeirah Beach in Dubai gets my highest rating in all respects. You expect excellence from the Ritz and they deliver. We opted for the Club room which includes a full buffet breakfast, access to the Club Lounge with food and alcohol served most of the day and Club concierge service. Inclusive breakfast alone covers the added cost for the Club.
But it's the employees that get the highest marks. They were truly exceptional, making our 50th wedding anniversary a truly memorable event we will talk about for years. So at this time, I have some huge thanks to Mika at the Club. We met him immediately as we entered for check in. He directed us to the lounge area, ordered drinks, took our passports and credit card and did all the international paperwork while we met other guests and snacked on some superb hors d over's. We never experienced a registration like this in all our travels.
The Club felt like home. On our first day of touring Dubai, we returned to the Club, were greeted by name and offered food and drink. As I relaxed, and checked the news on my phone, I realized it was missing and the last known place was the cab. I asked Mika for help and he retrieved my phone in less than an hour. He is like the Genie that never stops
Also, huge thanks to Ali for getting us a comp limo and driver for a visit to Abu Dhabi as our rental car was over 2 hours late on delivery. And again to Mika for the bed decorations and rose petals on our anniversary day
It was lovely experience. Everything was near by to our hotel. So many different types of restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy and anything you want is there. The Dubai Marina beach was only 5 minutes walk from our hotel. The hotel staff were very polite, friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend this place. Excellent!!!
Stretching 2 miles along the shore of the Persian Gulf, Dubai Marina--a canal city, is situated in the so-called New Dubai. Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University are nearby. A number of pathways offer visitors direct access to the shoreline and beaches.
