"The hotel looks stunning from outside and whilst the common areas are small, they are beautifully decorated in a way similar to The Pig chain if you know that (quirky). Our room wasn’t that big and whilst the 4 poster bed was very comfy, it almost crowded the room too much. The only problem is the front door lock is not working as it should, and since there's no reception, if you make three incorrect entries, you have to wait outside for 5 minutes before you can try again. If the weather is cold and you've come from a long journey, it tests your patience at the door. Apart from that, it's a comfortable house, I would recommend it if they fix the entrance lock.""

"Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. "
