"pleasant surprise"
Booked the hotel because it was nice and cheep and had a double en suite double room just around the corner from my wife's Christmas party. Got there Friday late afternoon only to be told we were actually staying in a flat a couple of minutes walk away and that they had tried to call me. My wife and I looked at each other, both with worried looks on our faces with me regretting that I had saved a few pounds by pre-paying the room. The flat was literally just around the corner on the ground floor of an apartment block with a secure entrance lobby, our own full size kitchen diner, a bathroom and a large bedroom with a 40" flat screen tv and free wifi. My wife had a great evening and I went to meet her from her party, we strolled home as it was a lovely mild evening for December, where once back in our apartment we enjoyed a nice cup of tea and a snack that I was able to prepare in our kitchen, no drunken queues at fast food establishments! In the morning I prepared us both a nice cooked breakfast and then we enjoyed a visit to borough market followed by a trip up to the top of the Shard.

The Wellington Hotel - London Hotels

The Wellington Hotel

"Perfectly located hotel in the heart of London"
I only needed to stop over in London for the night and just needed somewhere relatively cheap, central and somewhere to sleep. The Wellington hotel room, was finished to a very high, modern standard and was perfect for what I needed it for. It was perfectly located opposite Waterloo Station, so was easy to find, but of course you can expect a few rumbles from the overhead trains, but they tend to stop about the time you tend to go to sleep. It had great facilities, kettle, free view tv, alarm clock, shower/body/hair/soaps. He breakfast in the morning had a great choice from their menu,,with a choice of hot food or continental all included with the room price. The pub isn't open during breakfast so it's just the guests in the downstairs pub area. Overall, a perfect, great priced, comfortable hotel in the middle of London, next door to the South Bank, free breakfast. Would recommend if you're not planning to do anything in the room other than sleep.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. I arrived early; about midday, just to drop of my bags, but they let me check in.

"Outstanding staff"
I cannot recommend the staff highly enough - from checking in, rearranging rooms to assist personal requirements, maintenance fixed a small room issue within the hour and very friendly and supportive domestic staff. Great to see so many happy, smiling staff. Well done to you all.

"Felt like home..."
The Bridge Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are shared, but they are well maintained. Plenty of warm water. Reception is available 24 hours. Every day I received new fresh fruit in a bowl and water bottles. I really recommend this hotel which is really close to the London Eye (approximately 15 minutes by walking) and other sights. Hotel located in a safe area.
