The coastline is stunningly beautiful with many lovely towns, beaches and islands to explore. Highlights were Dubrovnik and Mostar in Bosnia. The only downside for us was a lack of vegetarian/vegan dining options.

"The pictures on expédia undersold this property. It is beautiful! We had a balcony with ocean view. The scenery is gorgeous. Mountains in the back, clear water in the front. We also went to the community pool, seen from the balcony. It had a huge pool, a local shop and a bar! The bar man was very nice and friendly!

Dubrovnik is easily reached by bus (though get off well before the bus station to get to the old town). Dubrovnik is a lovely city, and you can save money on attractions by buying a one-day, three-day or seven-day card from a tourist office.
