"Just spent my birthday at the Riu Plaza and it what an experience. The staff went above and beyond and made my day special. I stayed at their 1 King bed deluxe with sofa bed. "The place is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. But there were two issues: I awoke in the middle of the night to find that the blackout curtains didn’t work, which was an issue considering our room faced a well-lit parking lot. Also, we wanted to take the 7 am airport shuttle, but it was filled with a tour group so we would have had to wait half an hour, which was not feasible. So we had to pay an outrageous amount for a taxi."
