"It was very well presented in all aspects. The kitchen staff were good and helpful. The reception staff were well dressed and presented themselves very professionally rooms were very neat and clean. Would come again when visiting my mother everything is nearby."

"We had an issue with the shower head hose, but asked for maintenance to sort it. Which they did promptly which was very nice. The ac didnt work our entire 5 day stay, which was very unfortunate, as it was incredibly hot. We did not eat at the property, can not review that aspect. Their were little cleaning things that could be attended to, such as someone hung banners in our room, and they could have been taken down entirely instead of leaving staples and buts of paper on the walls. "Friendly staff at check in. Given a piece of paper per room for times of pool etc … does this change frequently? not very environmentally friendly to print it out each time for each room. Went to use pool and sauna etc to hear one of the staff moaning that a child had poo’ed in the children’s pool and it was now out of action and on top of that the steam room had packed up and no staff. "Overall a lovely stay with friendly staff and a good breakfast. A nice room and very clean. The only downfall was the shower water was really hot, even on the lowest setting. Having a shower wasn't very enjoyable, which was a shame as the bathroom was really lovely with a rainfall shower head, but I had to stay out of the stream and splash the water on me. But we did mention it to them on checkout so hopefully it can be easily resolved, because the hotel was really nice. Unfortunately parking...

"We had a two night stay here for our anniversary. Cannot fault anything. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was a great experience lots of choices from cold and hot options. Lovely garden to sit and relax. Had a lovely walk along the canal. Overall a great experience. "

"Beautiful property and had an amazing visit. Pity the property doesn’t have Aircon in the rooms. With the current heatwave it made it very hot inside the building . I understand it’s because it’s an old historical building and there are restrictions."

"This is a very old characterful property, with low beams etc. Venue was chosen for a small family reunion and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The staff were all very polite, helpful and patient which adds to the enjoyment. The food was really excellent and thanks to the chef none of our group had any complaints, Definitely recommend."

"Useful location but very close to the A30. Nice hotel/former coaching Inn with friendly welcome. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast. The good size double room had a kettle with coffee bags, fan, hairdryer, iron and ironing board plus large TV. The mattress was a bit too firm for our comfort though."

"Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy.
