"All the staff were friendly and helpful, room and amenities were clean and updated. Breakfast was great. Today was Mother’s Day and one of the staff members working the breakfast gave a rose to the mom guests - such a thought and appreciated gesture! Would definitely stay here again."

"Let me just start with the room, it was spacious it was modern it was quit, and clean! and beds were very comfortable, now the staff, staff is amazing quickly proceed our incoming and outgoing stay, The parking lot is safely lit and fenced in on the property. The check out time is a winner 11:00 am !! And the breakfast is amazing!!!"

"The room was clean but the bed was very firm. The bathtub wouldn’t drain after its first use but they did fix it the next day. The breakfast was incredible. The staff were cheerful and helpful. It was in easy walking distance of everything I wanted to do while in San Francisco. I did however only had a view of the commercial air handler and roof, nothing else! That was the most disappointing, anything aside from the mechanics of the building and roof would have been appreciated. "

"We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Lafayette Hotel and Spa.
The hotel and its grounds are truly lovely and their staff (shout out to Terrance at the front desk!) is amazing.
Their onsite restaurant, The Park Bistro and Bar”, is fantastic as well. The food was very well prepared and beautifully presented.
We look forward to returning to Lafayette Park Hotel on our next visit to the area.

"Didn’t love that the security guard letting people up to the rooftop implied that we wouldn’t have an issue getting a table when in fact the wait was 1.5 hours. Breakfast at the cafe was expensive and tasteless. Coffee was decent. Room was nice and comfortable. Valet mixed up car keys and took 30 minutes to pull up vehicle at check out."

"Plenty of parking around the facility and it's in a nicer area so there's not really a feeling of not being safe (although you always have to be aware). Unfortunately I didn't partake in the breakfast, but in general the eating/lounge area is nice and clean. Staff always greeted with a smile when coming and going. "We only booked for a night because of our visit to UC Berkeley and it was an amazing stay! The rooms were very clean and organized. Staff were nice and they welcomed us with waters. "The location was ok not great! The towels were not soft. Our faucet in the bathroom were not functioning properly. It only had one temperature setting.
I expected a more modern hotel. It needs to be updated for sure!! We had a King room with a view and there wasnt any view since we only saw the corner of two streets!
I am not sure how this hotel had such high ratings. I would have expected it to be more modern!! Since the amenities were old not sure if it clean or not!!
