"Our group has stayed in your facility for the past four years around the same time. Our first stay we were so impressed with staff outside area and room conditions. It has been a gradual downhill slide. Upon check-in we were told there was no elevator service and that all rooms on the first floor were taken. Everyone in our group was 70 or older. Fortunately we were all able to maneuver the stairs. Both the snack and drink machines were out of order. Just seemed like an uncared for facility....

"Booked this last minute on our way to a cross country baseball tournament and were pleasantly suprised!! The property was uniquely decorated, clean, quaint and charming. Very unique and we loved it! The staff was very friendly, breakfast was what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast, great coffee- overall we loved it and would recommend and stay again!! We usually stay at Mariott or similar- so this was so different for us!! Small family feel- so neat!"

"Was ok. Clean but property was outdated, which I guess you could say, added to the charm. A good coat of paint, some dry wall and tile fixes would freshen things up. Husband thought our room looked worse than others, so maybe we were just unlucky and got a pet room, (no carpet) even though we didn't bring a pet."

"This is a really great hotel if you want to explore Galena and its surroundings a bit. We absolutely loved the pool and hot tub and the staff was super nice and super helpful. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that the AC was quite loud, but this seems to be fairly standard in this area (I had this at other hotels too) so I shut it off in the middle of the night and opened the window."

"It was beautiful and clean but they don’t clean out room which we stayed 2 nights. We had to call down they apologize and brought towels"

"The TV didn't work. There was a long sheet about how to get it working but who has that time? How about using the remote as usual? Every hotel should have blackout drapes but they did not. People moved into next room with a non-stop yipping dog. The stay overall was great but for price these issues need attention."

"The building needs extensive maintenance. The room smelled foul. There was dust and grime even on the cord of the blow dryer. If it was $45 a night place I'd be more understanding. The window screen had a massive hole. The HVAC was unclean, but it kept us cool. I did appreciate the microwave and that there were many USB charging options. It seems that the property owner is probably doing the best they can with limited funds, it may be a good idea to consider whether this property is candidate...
