Stumbled upon the Sherman Inn as darkness fell upon us as we made it into Ogdensburg. What a find!! Between the rooms, the history of the school, the breakfast and the graciousness of our hosts the experience could not have been better. This will always be part of the story we tell as part of this vacation!! "

"We loved our stay and only wish it could have been longer. It's a beautiful space under 15 minutes from the main attractions of Saratoga Springs, but it's like an oasis--beautiful space, very comfortable room with a beautiful bathroom, gorgeous patio to eat customized breakfast, and garden to enjoy. If we had more time we would have enjoyed the trails and more of the outdoor space. We were without a car but had no problems getting Lyfts or taxis to the space, and Alison was a wonderful host. "We loved our stay! If possible, having different breakfast options each day might make longer stays a bit better, rather than the same menu each day. I’d recommend a manager’s “reception” each night with wine, cheese, fruit, etc. The house is definitely made for entertaining. Also, while the soaps in the bathroom were nice, switching to a spa brand might also make it a bit nicer. Our room, the Maria Pia was very comfortable and it was nice hanging out in the common areas.
