"We had a lovely time at this hotel. Everything is beautiful, clean, well thought. The staff kindly upgraded our room including a mini bar. The reception is very lively and the restaurant has delicious food and very hospitable staff. The hotel is a walk from the central bus station, a direct train to the airport and good public transport with only few stops to the city centre."

"Good location to explore Munich. 5 minutes to S-line station. Well stocked supermarket over the road - although not open Sundays (as seems to be the case everywhere in Bavaria/Austria). Comfy bed. Kitchen has enough pots/pans etc to allow you to cook simple meals for yourself."

Now, hotels and taxis come very expensive in Munich, especially within the city centre, so we went with one of Munichs Holiday In Expresses, their large one located on the west side. Balanced with cost, this hotel is perfectly located next to Hirschgarten train station. Easily reached by the Sl or S8 metro from the city or airport. Check in was friendly and helpful. Room was basic but functional. Shower was great, bed comfy, safe and TV...

"Loved the room, and the service… but “Complimentary Breakfast” was only allowed for 1 guest of all 3 of us. This was not disclosed at check in. So getting a hefty bill (>$30) for 2 cups of coffee and a roll was very frustrating."

"Hotel and staff were absolutely fantastic. Only a very short walk from the central station and about 10 minutes to the centre. We didn't have breakfast due to the amount of places to eat in the city. Can't fault the hotel at all but, walking back on a night always felt a little uneasy due to the groups of people loitering around the area. That wouldn't stop us from staying here again at all."
