"The hotel is ideally located,being just a short walk into downtown Victoria. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The only downside is theres no restaurant or breakfast room but we did find a great diner on Pandora St - Johns Place"

"The Amethyst Inn is a heritage home renovated into lovely rooms with baths, decorated to the period of the home. visitors should be able to take the stairs! We were at the top of the house with a view of the neighbouring home and garden, complete with entertaining squirrels in the trees. A walk around the area is a feast for the eyes, of beautiful homes and gardens of the same period. "Room and staff were excellent, one thing I wish was that they had free continental breakfast instead of just coffee and fruit at the lobby. The property is beside City Hall and is walking distance to Chinatown. A little bit further is the Empress and the waterfront. "

"We got in super late (around 2am) and had an issue with the door getting into our suite. Called at 2am and a gentleman called us right back in 30 seconds to solve the issue. Also had an issue with the TP holder and he said we were all set no issues. Location was also perfect, within walking distance of almost everything downtown. "
