"The room I booked, Jr Suite, was not available so we were given a sub-standard room. The room had a tiny 2ft X 3ft window ar ceiling height. The AC was broken and the room remained at 26⁰C 82⁰F all night. Unbearable! No compensation was actually given, inspite of a promise to do so, for the change in room type. Minimal compensation was offered (Marriott points) for the lack of AC! While the location is great, I can't recommend this hotel based upon this performance!"

"The hotel is fine for an overnight stay. The rooms are tired and need a refresh. There were lipstick marks on the walls I'm my room and the bathroom sink was very worn and scratched. The bathroom is also very cramped. For the price I expected more. Breakfast was lovely."

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "The room was roomy and comfy, but there were some dusty spots on the surfaces in both the bedroom and bathroom. The cleaning staff could definitely use some more care . I was a little startled to find something curly and hairy on the bathroom counter when I checked in , but it turned out to be just an old eyelash. Additionally, the bath towels were old and stiff. On the positive side, breakfast was very good, with plenty of hot and cold, sweet and savory options to suit everyone’s preferences."

"Very good location. Room spacious with a nice view. Parking very useful. Deducted one star as could see some dust is higher areas and vacuums could not reach between wardrobe and window so was quite dusty."

"Excellent location for Clifton village with bus stop right outside the hotel making easy access to Bristol town centre/station. Spacious room, spotlessly clean though main building is a little tired around the edges. Friendly approachable staff. Breakfast was good, but some of the buffet options did run out. Great value for money and happy to recommend."
