The buffet breakfast was terrific. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated, but the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here. "

You can walk to many restaurants, and the major markets are all within a walking distance. The people of Chiang Mai are friendly, and the cost of living is low. The staff are so friendly and courteous. My birthday fell during my stay at Empress, and they lavished me with so many gifts! What an experience. I thank the staff for the outstanding hospitality. "

"Lovely stay. Nice little hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms and decor is beautiful. Went in low season/September so very reasonable rates. Breakfast included and had a good small selection. Only negative for me was all the rain meant there was heavy leaking from the ceiling at the door. Would stay again."
