"The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant had a good choice of evening food and the breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect as a stopover on our drive to Scotland from the south of England."

"The location was excellent, walking distance from town centre shops, pubs & restaurants. Hotel also had a car park and nice bar with a free pool table. Owner was very helpful with check in and explaining where everything was. It is not trying to be a luxurious hotel, but for a cheap room for the night to break up a long drive it was perfect for my needs. The only real negative I had is that the bed wasn't the comfiest but I still slept fine."
