"The room was dirty and the furniture was very worn and tatty. I checked in at 9 pm and the hotel was clearly pretty empty. Breakfast was very small and expensive. My son went golfing in the morning, but despite this very rude front desk staff member kicked me out of my room at 11am wanting to 50 GBP to stay another couple of hours. There were silverfish bugs in the bathroom. If you are used to higher standards, avoid this hotel."

"The grounds are stunning but the hotel itself is looking a bit tatty. We were given an accessible room, which didn’t seem that accessible to me! The plug sockets by the bed are not normal uk plugs. So you can’t plug a charger in (for me, I couldn’t plug my breathing machine in) The tv was on the wall, but had plastic covers over the wires which just looks messy. The furniture was a bit dated but fine. The bathroom, although it’s supposed to be accessible I think it was hard work. The sliding...

"Staff very helpul but stretched, seemed to be too few staff for a relatively large hotel. Breakfast good, eat out in Thatcham both evenings. Room very good. Just for note it was the start of the UK heatwave and only deluxe rooms have a/c."
