It's a beautiful place to stay at a reasonable price. Nice breakfast. Wonderful staff. Had a flat tire. They fixed it and didn't ask a cent. Beautiful harbor view. Very nice room. Relaxing, comfortable, detailed, friendly, secure. You can leave your cell phone on the desk and not worry.

The hotel was very good and the staff was wonderful as they were knowledgeable, understanding, and responsive to our needs. The breakfast was also good. The only negatives were that the TV never worked, the Internet was very poor at best, and the rooms were simply too small. The worst part was the toilet area which was so small one felt claustrophobic.

Not very good experience, would not recommend. Super tiny rooms and very expensive (we paid 320 USD per night but found the same night for 80 USD later). The bubble pool is not complementary but 40 USD. Not helpful staff at all. Not good location (very steep hill). Only positive is that there was a good view from the terrass.

The Verso Hotel is a unique property that caught my attention because of its celebration of poetry, excellent rooftop and centric location near the Neruda House. What prompted me to write this review is the incomparable customer service we received from every single staff member at Verso. My parents and I only intended to stay at Verso 1 night on our way back to Santiago, however an unexpected medical emergency led to my mom being hospitalised for 7 days. Thanks to the helpful advice from the afternoon concierge, we were able to get my mother seen at a nearby reputable emergency clinic. When we told the manager our situation and need to extend our stay, the manager went above and beyond to accommodate us. More than that, over the course of weeklong stay, every staff member, from the cleaner to the waiter, made sure to check-in on us, provide outstanding service and ensured that our time at Verso was a space of refuge in a hectic time. To me, that level of concern and detail can only be indicative of a close-knit family owned operation. After days spent at the hospital, relaxing in the Verso hotel was just what I needed! The bed was cozy and the internet great speed for working remotely (especially while enjoying wine on the rooftop!) The complimentary breakfast was all you can eat small bites. In short, Verso will be my hotel of choice whenever I, or anyone I know, visits Valparaiso!

Modern hotel in front of a helpless Police Station. No A/C so window open and noise from city coming in loud. Service however outstanding everywhere. Carefull with Valparaiso. This is a very dangerous city. Like a big fabela with a police force that does nothing or cannot do which is worse. Be aware and take this city off your trip plan if you can..

Great hot tub with views

A good experience. Wifi doesn’t work well here because of so much cement. Beds are not so comfortable and the food in the restaurant was not as good as it should have been. But great Pisco sours, nice hot tubs with good views.

Boutique hotels keep proving why they are more detail oriented to the clients needs. I absolutley loved this property. Private secure parking was available, rooms were tidy, common spaces were beautiful. You could sit in the open courtyard and have a tea, coffee or glass of water. Reception was open 24/7. The restaurant had a beautiful selection on dinner options and a sommelier to advise you on your wine pairings. Hot tubs are also available to reserve for a fee on the rooftop terrace and have spectacular views over the whole city. The neighborhood is safe and easily walkable to the downtown area. Staff were bilingual and helpful when it came to restaurant and tourist spot recommendations. I would definetly stay here again.

Wonderful find!

Excellent food at restaurant; nice experience in hot tub, helpful staff, great views. We had the king suite and it had plenty of room. Comfortable bed, good shower. Clean room. Was a great find. Would definitely stay there again. It's in the Museo de Cielo Obierto and almost next door to La Sebastians. Take the bus up. Lots easier with a backpack than walking it.

Boa opção para Valparaiso

Bem no topo de Valparaiso, hotel aconchegante. Funcionários muito atenciosos. Restaurante agradável, mas para o meu gosto foi pouca comida e preço alto. O entorno do hotel é bem precário em geral, mas não tivemos nenhum problema com segurança.

I would stay there again

We had a great two nights stay at the hotel. It’s modern and young. The staff was very helpful and welcoming and speaks English. The room was a bit small but most important - it was bright and very clean - and a big plus it had heating. We also enjoyed the spa on the hotel roof which was also very clean. Bring ear plugs if barging dogs will keep you awake (the same for all the hotels in Paraiso).

Small rooms, helpful staff, excellent views

This is an excellent facility with helpful and professional staff, most of whom speak some english. The rooms are comfortable but extremely small; two adults with luggage will have to be clever in arranging their thing. The hotel is removed from nightlife, but there is a very nice restaurant at the location and smaller places by the Neruda house on the next block. Views of surroundings are impressive.

This hotel may have small rooms, but you'd rather be in comfy lobby or rooftop restaurant/bar with spectacular views. Staff was so very very friendly and accommodating. If you are bringing a car, be sure to contact the hotel directly regarding reserving a space: hotels.com booking does not.
