Top Upper Sleeper Log Creek Nature Refuge Hotel Reviews
Hotel Grand Chancellor Townsville
4/10 Poor
"The rooms were very basic, the door was super thin and I could hear everyone walking past, to the elevator all night. The doors weren’t lockable to ensure a safe environment.
The lighting in the room was bad, no bedside lamps or lighting to allow relaxation. Only master ceiling lights that were positioned in odd places around the room. The bed sheets were dirty, with marks on top of the bed when I checked in. It was late at night when I arrived so chose not to raise it with staff due to needing to unwind and get to bed. I didn’t want the hassle of having to go back down to reception and change rooms.
The gym, if you call it that, was abysmal. The treadmill was out of order and the rest was lacking.
There was also plenty of bugs crawling around the room and tables.
Overall the condition of the hotel was worn out and needs updating."
"The accommodation was very good all round. The bar staff and waiter service in the casino itself needs improvement. Behind the bar was ordinary and appears some staff did not want to be there."
"Nice studio appartments, small nice balcony over looking the Strand.
Many rooms are updated, always stay in those.
Close to many restaurants, walking distance to groceries.
I always stay here as it is reasonably priced and has off street parking (limited but many)"
"The renovations have made a huge difference. The queen room
I stayed in was lovely.I did ask reception about the family rooms she said they have been renovated but now have only 2 queen size beds??? How do you put a “family” mum dad and 2 teenagers 1boy and 1 girl in 2 queen beds. We have used this venue previously for family stays but would not be able to with the new renovation of 2 queen beds in the family room. This is disappointing."
"Great little cabin, had everything need while working in the area for 10 days. Coffee cart across the road most mornings and pizza van at night. Good location and not far to The Strand or Townsville City"
