"It's a surprise to know we're staying at a 100 year old hotel. The management has maintained the exteror & interior look of this centruy old hotel. Glad to be part of this Hotel history on our 1st time in Nice. We had a comfortable stay for my family of four for 3 nights. The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of Nice."

"This hotel provides an amazing oasis from the crowds and heat and hustle bustle of the Old Quarter… a spectacularly designed collection of buildings situated in a wild garden with flowers and herbs all around the hillside that hugs the hotel. The staff are amazing, generous with their welcomes and helpful to a fault. Our room was large and beautifully appointed with convenience and comfort. Our stay took place in April before the summer crowds were in full force… had we gone later in the year I would still appreciate the calm and peaceful escape this hotel affords. "

"Really nice place and location. The room was very clean and the staff was really helpful. The only issue was a bit of drainage smell coming from the bathroom but other than that everything was amazing!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. Unfortunately that’s the only positives. The communal areas were dark and dingy and the room was small with a really strange layout (the shower was just an alcove in the room so no privacy). The maintenance in the room was bad - the skirting board was bulging off the wall and also I touched a switch on the wall and it fell off completely leaving exposed wires. Breakfast buffet was truly bad and not worth the money - we arrived an hour before they stopped serving but most things had run out - no eggs or bacon and they were not replenishing. We also had to ask for plates. "

"Perfect room and location was brilliant. Breakfast was very good, and hotel clean. Only downside was when we arrived we were charged €150 for three people, we was told this was to cover incase anything was charged to the room from the restaurant or the bar. We had no intentions of doing this but still had to put this down as a deposit and it wasn’t listed in the fees when we booked so was an unexpected cost which wasn’t factored in. Yes it was returned upon checkout but took a chunk of budget out of the holiday spending which we didn’t factor in or cover to transfer extra over into euros from sterling."

"The breakfast was Excelent and the hotel was beautiful, but there several issues with our room, including a broken telephone, plugs, and the shower could only be used if bending down very low. Alos while the staff was friendly anything we asked for (extra blanket) was very slow and in the case of the phone never got fixed (after asking twice on 2 separate days). The area is beautiful and if you have a young child with you the park across the street is amazing but there are other cheaper hotels close with I imagine fewer issues. I’m not not recommending it, I just would not actively recommend it."
