"This place was in the heart of the action. Yes, very touristy, but also on a metro for easy access to other parts of the city. The view of the sagrada familia outside the window cannot be beat. "We love the Room Mate hotels and the Gerard didn’t disappoint. The staff were all so friendly, the property had a roof top terrace that we used twice to unwind at the end of the day. We included breakfast in our booking and it was delicious. Cheeses, meats, vegetables, fresh fruits, yogurts and a selection of hot dishes plus fresh bread and pastries. We were happily surprised to be upgraded to a room with a balcony when we checked in. The only slight disappointment was the “fitness centre” which...

"I was on a very busy business travel and really wanted to use the bar and restaurant but it was closed on one of the days for an exclusive business event. It was a busy evening due to a soccer match and none of the nearby restaurants and bars had decent seating or enough food. Treadmill was mis calibrated - the speed was off by more than 20%. Yes I checked the mph / kmph units. Food was excellent. Not enough power ports in the room near the bed."
