"The hotel was dated and run down. The room had marks all over wall and had a strong odour of damp. There were limited staff and the older lady at breakfast was really rude and huffed and puffed. The cups were disgusting all stained. Breakfast items kept running out."

"The first thing that greeted us was the smell of stale curry in the reception area and corridors, the lift was broken that would have taken us to our floor (the top one of course) and there was an absolute maze of corridors to navigate to find out way to the room. Hotel is definitely not a 4 star as stated, I,d give it 2 at most. Glad I was only there for 1 night."

"The good
-----------
The room was clean and tidy when entered. All towels and bed sheets were nice and clean, with a table full of tea/coffee for the room. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, especially the caretaker of the room, and the lobby itself was beautiful. The bathroom was large and roomy, and the bedroom itself was quite large as well. Nice amenities were provided, such as shampoo and conditioner, sleep spray and face moisturizer.

"Walking distance to the bay and town was really good, 10-15 minute flat walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The parking on site was a great help. Rooms were a good size, clean and nicely maintained. The toilet was very low! The lift was a problem as it would not go down to ground floor unless someone was on the ground floor wanting to go up."

"Couldn’t fault it. I visit fairly regularly (6 times a year or more) and clearly they have upped their game recently, we had noticed it was getting a bit tired.
Only complaint is down to other guests really, what sounded like a gym class starting at 0645."
