"An amazing hidden gem among hotels. I’ve traveled with my spouse enough to know what she likes and values at our stays. She loves having at least a small kitchen to cut fruit she finds at markets. She also loves having a washer and dryer to do laundry. Both a kitchenette and washer/dryer are very difficult to find in Japan, even at expensive hotels. "This location can't be beat for convenience, everything is within a few min walk and if you want to experience Akihabara and shop electronics, collectables, games, it is perfect for it. My only complaint is that the pillows they use in the rooms are super airy and way way on the soft side, your head just sinks right in till it becomes flat as a towel, be prepared for that if you need harder pillows."

"Excellent hotel located near to Keisei skyliner and Ueno station. Room was spacious and bunker bed was my son favourite. They have paid laundry at 2nd floor and free amenities at ground floor for you to take before going to your room. Good view from the room and the check-in and check-out is by system which is easy to use and fast. No breakfast is provided but the hotel do have a cafe if you need meal."

"Hoshinoya staff and the propoerty dynamic are settled to diminish costs and not to serve the clients as it's supposed a high rating hotel. It's my second stay in Hoshinoya, I had previously had a poor experience at Hoshinoya Okinawa and unfortunately again at Tokyo's one. There're better options in Tokyo that would suit most experienced traveler's more!"
