"The location was very peaceful but close to many beautiful places National Trust etc. The bedroom was comfortably furnished with an excellent walk in shower. The lounge / dining area also was very comfortable with a lovely outlook. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The host was friendly and informative. A really excellent place to stay."

"My stay at the Mercure Hotel in Pembury was okay. My room was on the ground floor and adequate. The bathroom was very clean and cleaned for the three days that I stayed there. The bed was made and the room was clean daily and I have no complaints about it. The room was adequate for my needs.. The only slight grumble I have is that I did not find the staff very friendly. "What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend."

"The hotel was beautiful and spacious. When we were there we ate both dinner and breakfast outside which was lovely, again looking over extensive grounds (although oddly the second tier of the garden below the main level was not well maintained at all) However the feel of the place was a bit chaotic and we heard a number of guests complaining about things which should have been easily remedied (tvs not right, AC not entirely working and so on) We had a lovely dinner but one of our servers made...

"The hotel was disappointing, it is in need of updating. Our room was very old fashioned and the bathroom felt unclean .On one of the hottest days of the year there wasnt even a fan to help cope with the heat. On the positive side, all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice but I dont think we would chose to stay here again ."

"We had the downstairs courtyard room which was wonderful. Tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The room was at the back so very quiet yet within a short walk of the high street with all its lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. We were the only guests on a Sunday night so had our breakfast in the courtyard. We had a wonderful time and would stay again."
