"Couldn't believe the bar and restaurant closed so early on a Saturday night. There are a lot of other places to go (including one right across the street), but when you stay in an expensive hotel you prefer to get a night cap or a night snack after a concert right in the safety of your hotel Also: when you get the keys and you're going up to your room, if the key doesn't work in the elevator, get out and go back to the front desk. Another rider used their key, so I could also push my floor, but when I got to my room, neither key worked. So I had to schlep back downstairs (this was after walking with heavy bags from Back Bay Station) and the front desk folk admitted they screwed up and gave me a new room (was it nicer than my original? No idea since I couldn't get in) and new keys, which this time worked. But, to balance things out, the front desk person did give me a free bottle of water after I said I had just walked from Back Bay Station (because my wife looked it up and it said the hotel was only 1.4 miles away from the station; it felt a helluva lot longer than 1.4 miles). And it was one of those reusable metal bottles. So that was nice."

"Breakfast was a joke…but coffee and tea okay. Otherwise, prepackaged junky muffins and sweet roll. Room pretty good. Common area shabby but sigs saying they are renovating. Great location!"

"Got there early and front desk staff was very helpful, allowed us to store our bags, set one of our party up in the quieter lounge on the eighth floor to work, gave us insight on cabs vs uber as we were hoping to get to a boat tour of the harbor, just very helpful. Romeo, the valet, was also helpful and friendly. Room was clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was your basic US hotel selection, with the addition of burrito wraps. Was a nice change to make a breakfast burrito. They even had Chalupa hot sauce! Coffee was quite good. Was walking distance to the MGM concert hall at Fenway, which is why we were in town. I'd stay there again if I needed to be in the Back Bay."
