"My stay at Lanehead old school was fantastic. The owners Lisa and Chris were lovely and extremely helpful. My car broke down on the way there and they offered to pick me up. They then offered to pick me up from the garage I had my car towed to. Excellent hosts. It was like staying with old friends! I can't recommend the place highly enough!"

"There is a reason this is a three star hotel. Despite some pleasant room decor and very helpful staff there are many things that let it down. Exterior is shoddy, rooms look over a busy road or a busy courtyard- both are noisy when windows are open in warm weather. "We had such a lovely stay at Langley Castle Hotel. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived and made the whole experience feel really special. We stayed in the Percy Room, which was full of charm and character while still being very comfortable. Staying in an actual castle was such a unique experience. We also loved walking the nearby trails and grounds — it was peaceful and beautiful, especially in the evening. Dinner at the hotel was excellent, with great food...

"No evening meal due to chef needing time off, staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. Only food available in the area was pizza at a hostel across the road. Breakfast room opened at 8:30 and consisted of help yourself Coco pops, croissants or toast, if you had an early start, nothing. Overall a very poor experience."
