"This was an interesting hotel and if you have any experience of the raffles brand elsewhere then I would recommend be prepared. The venue is central but overlooking an 8storey multi story car park and rather cramp rooms was not really value add. The suite on the other hand in higher floors were. A butler system which I must say working off some mediocre phone prompts just doesn’t cut it . One looses the will to live when saying I need a shaving kit and al you get back is “is there something else...

"The location is superb. It’s close to shopping, places to go and even subway station you can reach through mall so you don’t have to go outside when the weather is too cold or hot. And the big supermarket is just cross the street. Also, Newbury St. is just 5-7 min walk distance as well as the public library.
It was a pleasant stay!!!"

"This hotel was exactly what we wanted for our first stay in Boston, the staff was so friendly and helpful, the room was adorable and the bed was so comfortable! "Really beautiful boutique hotel located with easy access to Newberry and the Commons, the Charles, and BU. Great (expensive) restaurant and bar. Staff was super attentive and responsive. Old google searches indicated they used to have complimentary passes to the neighboring gym. That was a bummer, and they should reinstitute that benefit . The room prices justify that perk for a property that doesn't have room for a gym. "

"I recently stayed at the Fairmont Boston and unfortunately the property felt very outdated and not well maintained compared to what I expected from a Fairmont hotel. While the location is convenient and the staff were generally polite, the overall condition of the hotel needs significant updates.

"We are disappointed. The hotel does not look anything like the photos. It is junky, dirty and looks like it has not been maintained for a few years. When we drove up, no valet was available, no one offered to help with suitcases. Checkin was slow, the room had a foul smell, wires were loose/hanging behind TV, shower handle was broken, rusted and water dripping, the air vents were loud. We could not sleep with the noise and smell. There is no coffee maker or water heater in the rooms. With $260...

"My first room had some yellow wet spots all over my bed cover. They moved me and then that room the a/c didn’t work and made a horrible noise. This was a really pricey venue for these kinds of oversights and problems. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was attending a conference here otherwise would have not stayed. Additionally to have to pay over 70 a night for parking on top of the hotel expense was absolutely ridiculous. Way too expensive for what this is."

"Bathrooms very small and doors were difficult to manage. Need safety bathmat for shower. Having stayed in hotels all over the world, the beds were not the most comfortable at all. Hairdryer was very old and not maintained so it kept shutting down during use…very annoying. Windows in room large and great views. Size or room good. Staff great and very helpful."
