"This is my first poor review for a hotel experience unfortunately. Not only was there a hidden fee hold of 200 additonal dollars, which Expedia and the Hotel's home website both stated it was a 50 dollar hold, but from the start my king suite had many issues, such as a very smelly garbage disposal, broken alarm clock, children's handprints smeared all over the bedroom window, and pen marks on the kitchen countertops. "We were definitely disappointed with our stay. At check in, we were informed that the pool and hot tub were closed for renovation. And while they did offer a full refund if we wanted to book elsewhere-that would have been very stressful to do after a long drive. We may have booked elsewhere had we known prior to checking in. "Spotlessly clean upon our arrival, the rooms already pre-heated for the cold day, and every amenity available we could wish for. That included firewood and starter kit for a nominal fee, plus rowboat with safety vests and oars included in the cabin price. The cabin was, in addition to being immaculately clean, very nicely appointed and cozy with the pine wood paneling.
