Nice hotel, good clientelle, felt comfortable. Polite, courteous staff (although some housekeeping do not speak any English), good, clean comfortable room and excellent breakfast & 24h access to tea/coffee. A nice place as a base to do lots in the area, conveniently located between TPA airport and Clearwater.
However, pool was tiny (not great for kiddos, pictures are very deceiving) and water dirty (bits floating on the water, daily).
Additionally, wifi is absolutely awful - we were a long way from home so we drpended on it and it kept throwing us out. We called the tech services but they were powerless. Reception offered to switch rooms for us but all available similar tooms (junior suite) had the same problem. If you're from the US it's ok because you have your own data. But if you're foreign, no chance of good internet....my 12 yr old logged in with the nearby Marriott free wifi!!!!! Go figure!!
Also, we booked and paid for a junior suite - according to them it was a junior suite, but we didn't think so, being seasoned travelers. Way too small for a "junior suite".
Overall, it's a good place with nice staff but they could make an effort with the above. They didn't really seem to care.
