"I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! "Toilet is way too small. The entry door sticks so bad my wife had trouble opening it. The balcony door is falling apart. The breakfast buffet was less than desirable and The bar doesn’t even open until 3pm"

"The staff were so hospitable and the breakfast was amazing! Our shower nozzle was a little messed up and the doors seemed to have needed some maintenance but it wasn’t too bad. We enjoyed our stay greatly and would come back again!"

"It was a nice stay. The room was nice bathroom clean. My problem was there wasnt a person in house most of the time. There was a kiosk in the lobby. Thats how business was conducted. If you had a nonstandard question there was no quick answer. English was not the first language. The accents were very difficult to understand over a speaker. My card was doubled billed. It was not corrected."

"Wonderful location, functional spacious rooms that felt like home while we were there. Property is showing its age, but it’s still as comfortable as you can get away from home. They were wideny the beach while we were there, which makes us look forward to our next visit."

"The room was clean, affordable, and pet-friendly, which was a big plus. Many guests had their pets with them, and the pet fee was only $25 per night, which is very reasonable. The only downside was the shower—it was quite small. It was just large enough to stand in, so it might feel a bit cramped for bigger guests.
