"This was a leisure visit. We were greeted by you are early (30 mins) which I had acknowledged before they mentioned it and said they would check. Again they said we were early but the room was ready and told Room 3 upstairs! We only have 7 rooms we were told. Not soundproofed as advertised which was an issue with a room facing the street, size was smaller than expected (despite not being the 'basic' room), lamp was faulty, and we had issues with heating that needed someone to come and help resolve. Less of a guesthouse than advertised, felt more like a budget motel. "

It was the perfect place to get over jet lag as I embarked on a one-month vacation of the U.K. It’s a couple of miles outside of town, and the bus to downtown stops right in front of the house, which was perfect. Very comfortable for sleeping. Having a bath tub to soak in after a day full of walking was heaven. Graeme was an extremely welcoming and informative host.
