"Great space, price, and staff. Area is amazing and views are stunning. One caveat will be the beds. I think the hotel should upgrade the beds because it was not so comfortable to sleep in"

"For a supposed 2 star rated hotel was well above that, on par with 3 star anywhere in Australia. Room was very comforable and bed was biggest I have ever slept in, could have fitted 4 people easy."

Ken and Ise were very welcoming and helpful with helping us get settled, finding our way around Nikko and just generally friendly and helpful. If you're interested in a more homey atmosphere vs. Corporate hotel this is the place for you "

"I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "Restaurant and housekeeping services were exceptional. Hotel is well maintained and the front desk check in process was quick and friendly. Room peaceful and quiet with great views of mountain side and lake. Recommend 4th floor if possible. 403 was a great room and lots of amenities (e.g., cups, tea pot, robes, phone plugs, etc.). Osen. bath 1st floor was very clean too. Bikes available. Parking for rental cars. Small gift shop and vending machines with food options. Must get breakfast and dinner option. The food and service is excellent. "
