"This was the most gorgeous and quirky place to stay. We loved the heritage features and the creative atmosphere that has really shown off the fact that the owner has a good imagination. Consider a combination of an old convent building, beautiful spacious grounds, and then add a dollop of Alice in Wonderland. We were very happy with our stay in the bishops cottage, loved the location, and will come back to stay here as soon as we can plan another visit to Te Anau."

"The place was not very clean. There was a stain on the double bedsheet. The kitchen utensils, pots, plates, bowls, cups and glasses were not properly cleaned. The laundry room was quite dirty. The living room sofa looked worn off. The nicest place of this motel room was the bathroom. The motel office was closed most of the time and hence, we were not able to let them know our concerns. "

"We loved this property. The owners live on site, and were super responsive. The room was very well appointed and we utilized the hot tub, which was clean and relaxing. They served breakfast to order each morning and provided recommendations for food and activities. I’m really happy we decided to go with a family run B&B.
