"This location is very old, it was not the greatest. The carpet was not very clean and the ceiling squeaked and cracked when someone walked across the floor in the room above."

"The room and bathroom seemed clean. However, the carpet was filthy! The staff was amazing and helped us cancel our second night with no arguments; (we cancelled for health reasons, early end to the vacation.)"

"I stayed here with my dog while we were going to visit New River Gorge (which I also highly recommend!). Nobody seemed annoyed that I had my dog! The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a good stay. It was safe and clean. The park was super close and there is a ton of stuff to eat nearby as well. I appreciated the room also came with a fridge and microwave. Good tv options (it rained a lot on day so I appreciated this). Coffee available all day. Ample parking. Really can’t go wrong...

"Rooms need to be updated and repaired. Beds needs to be replaced. Chair is room was broken and on off season the bar and grill is not recommended."

"The gentleman who waited on us to check in & out wasn’t friendly. He was difficult to hear because he spoke softly. He did not offer a receipt at check out. The Window blind in room was broken. When retracting, it appeared to be broken on the left side. There was no wall thermostat in the room - only holes where it should have been. A channel guide would be helpful for the tv."

"The front desk staff was very friendly and suggested a restaurant and also the New River Gorge Visitor Center. We went to both places and enjoyed them. The bed was comfortable. Had a complimentary breakfast that was okay. If I were to go back I would probably stay there again."

"The entire hotel was very clean, the staff was excellent, breakfast was as better than I expected, parking was very convenient. The pool table was an added bonus for myself and I noticed for other guest as well. The business center area was ready for all my business needs."

"We were traveling with our dog. Our room was run down and tired. The mirrors needed a good cleaning, bed skirt was ripped…just ok. I realize it’s a “pet room” but beat-up furniture and the remote held together with tape…. Not acceptable."
