"For a budget motel, this establishment met all my expectations, and then some. The usual, standard amenities were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. But I really appreciated the friendly staff (Hi Erica!) and the location. Although a bit out of the way, the CATS transit rail station is 5 minutes' walk away, which quickly and economically takes you to the trendy South End area and to downtown. And, they have complementary shuttle service ro the airport. We will be returning!"

"This was a nice spot to stay for a couple nights while we were attending a wedding in the area. The suite was nice and clean and the staff at the counter and at breakfast were really great. They could probably use another elevator as the wait seemed like it might be an issue. We were just taking the stairs since we were on the second floor, but obviously that’s not an option for everyone. The only issue I had was with the location. The area itself seemed okay; not the nicest in my opinion, but I don’t really know Charlotte very well. My issue was more with access in/out while driving. You can only turn right out of the parking lot, which meant you had to do a U-Turn a little bit down Tryon Street if you needed to go the other way. You may be able to get to the street another way if you go back behind the hotel, but we didn’t try this, we were just following GPS. The other issue was just the intersection in general… it is pretty heavy traffic through here and takes forever to get through no matter which way we were coming from. The traffic lights around here just seem like a mess. I initially didn’t want to remove a star for this since it might not be an issue for some people (especially if you aren’t going in and out a whole lot), but it was actually very inconvenient and held us up multiple times. While I wouldn’t mind staying in this hotel again, I wouldn’t stay in this area again."

"Great stay, nice hotel. Good location of I77. Staff wonderful. Room and beds comfortable. Nice bar/restaurant onsite in lobby, did not eat there but a nice vibe. nice in room soaps. Nice outdoor pool area, fire pits, pool bar.... was not open, assume is seasonal. Need more luggage carts!! 18 floor hotel and only a couple carts."

"The front desk was amazing. I had the pleasure of interacting with several of the front desk staff and they were pleasant, helpful and really seemed to like their job. The room was modest in size and did not have a microwave, but it was clean and quiet. Exercises room was adequate and clean."

"I didn’t wake up for the continental breakfast. I work until around midnight so I usually sleep from 3 until between 10 & 11 am. The hotel was pretty beat up and there has been what looks like quite a bit of vandalism. Some of the doors on the third floor look like they had been kicked in and didn’t look very secure. My room was OK, but when I first entered and tried to turn the desk lamp on, I found its lightbulb broken on the floor. Half the lamps in the room worked which I informed the front desk about 15 minutes after I checked in. The bathroom toilet has some stains on it and didn’t look completely clean. For the price of the 4 day 3 night stay, I believe I got what I paid for. The couple good things were that every staff member I met was really nice and professional and my room was really quiet. I didn’t hear hardly anything from the outside of my room. If you are on a budget and need a place to stay, La Quinta Inn suites is a decent choice. Just remember, when they check you in, your reservation price does not include the $100 security deposit that you get back and try not to look at the hallways too closely. "

"I liked everything about this hotel.The walls are really thin, though, and our neighbor's next door kept going in and out slamming their door every forty five minutes.Don't know what the heck they were doing.But it was really annoying. This is our second stay here, and I definitely will think about staying here again"
