"The cabin was very comfortable, well equipped and close to attractions. Everything was there for us, hot tub, board games, great bunk beds. We are looking forward to the next time we can stay at this at this cabin. We have been going to Big Bear for many years and this cabin was so much better that a hotel room."

"The cabin was a bit run down. The patio door would not lock. I had to spend half of my first day waiting for a repair man. The repair man was very nice and fixed it for the moment, but again my first day was ruined. I left a day early because I didn’t feel comfortable there. "

"Cabin was quaint and back yard was nice but the cabin smelled awful. Bed had a massive pee stain. Living furniture stunk even after we bought a febreeze fabric spray to try and help. All the furniture with fabric needs replacement. Cute but would not stay again."

What was hoped to be a nice weekend getaway with family, turned into an ongoing frustration as we continually had to go back and forth with property staff to address the cleanliness concerns and lack of expected ammenities with this property. Upon arrival, we noted the filthiness of the floor and the unmade, hair covered, sheets in the master suite. "I loved that the location is just steps from the village—so many things are within easy walking distance. We were there for Oktoberfest and didn’t have to walk far to catch the free transit to the convention center. There’s even a German deli with beer across the steeet. Those were the big wins. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the property overall was clean. That said, it’s definitely dated. The bathroom towels were super thin—think 1-ply—and way too small for an adult (they barely wrap around you), so bring your own if you can. I was hoping to enjoy the pool, but it was small and awkwardly placed in the parking lot, so that was a no-go. The AC wasn’t working during my stay, though they did provide fans. The property could use some updates and repairs, but nothing was truly awful. It felt like I was visiting in the off-season; I imagine the place comes alive in the winter. There’s even a little on-site restaurant and bar with live music at night, which was a nice touch. Overall, it’s not as cute, modern, or comfortable as other Big Bear spots I’ve stayed at, but the unbeatable location in the heart of the village makes it worth considering—especially during the winter months"
