"The rooms were very clean, and the staff customer service was excellent. We only stayed one night, so there was not much of a chance to use all amenities; however there is a coffee bar that sells starbuck drinks located on the same level as the hotel lobby, and a Kneads bakery where they serve gluten free options"

"A really fun hotel to stay in however if you’re planning a quiet and relaxing stay I probably would not recommend this hotel. The walls were very thin so I could hear my next-door neighbor up the music and every word in their conversation. And then on the other side of my room, I could hear clearly a toddler banging on everything and screaming. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were great and the food was good."

"I had booked this hotel primarily for it being dog friendly and offering dog amenities like food and water bowls and a bed however since there is a new owner they don’t really offer anything. It is a pretty basic hotel with Lil to no amenities however, I will say that the king size bed I slept in, was very clean and comfortable."

"The Westgate is a upscale high rise hotel downtown. The flight crews stay there. It's safe to walk around at night and there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. I parked my car at the hotel and took Uber everywhere. Uber arrives in a couple minutes. The lobby is very ornate with Victorian decor and huge chandeliers. My premium room was large. The hotel has bars by the lobby and by the pool. There is a restaurant and room service. The staff is very good. Only critique is a...

"I was skeptical at first since it was my first time solo travelling, but I was proven wrong! This place was amazing. The place was clean, the staff was helpful, friendly, and the place have good atmosphere. They have events where you can meet and hangout with people. Will recommend this hostel to a friend."

"The only exception to this being a perfect place to stay would be the parking not being on premises. But it was just around the corner.... staff was great happy hour was great. It's perfect if you plan on doing a lot of exploring and not a lot of spending time in your room."

"Stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I understand Moxy is meant to be more casual and compact, but the rooms felt old and not well maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, there was barely any closet or storage space, and no complimentary water in the room. Housekeeping only cleaned the room once during my entire stay, and I had to call and request it myself. Overall, the hotel feels overdue for updates and better service standards."

"This is wonderful place to stay if you are going to Petco Stadium. It’s an easy walk to restaurants in Gaslamp and has some hiatory, being built in 1913. Beautifully renovated suites. We would stay there again."
