"The rooms were lovely, warm and clean. Having a dog bed and food bowls was a lovely touch. The fridge was useful and we have plenty of space. The bed was very comfy. We really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the fried bread!! The staff were amazing, we wished we could have stayed longer! "

"It sounds trite but this is truly a gem of a hotel. Beautiful location, quiet, lovely gardens, very comfortable room and first class service throughout the hotel, from welcome at reception to saying goodbye. Restaurant (Artisan Room) was very good, the staff here so very helpful and lovely with it. Food is fresh, local and well prepared and served. Could not fault it. Good wine list too. It's a beautiful old house and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Overall we had a lovely stay. We were informed that there was no provision for an evening meal on either evening (we stayed 2 nights) that was fine, as we were happy to drive to nearby Haverfordwest. We were a little disappointed that on Saturday evening the bar was closed to residents due to a private function. It would have been nice to have some prior warning, as a couple of drinks at the bar would have been a nice end to the evening. That bring said the breakfast was excellent and our room...

"I have lost count of how often i have stayed at The Mariner's.....well into double figures over the past 18 months alone. As a former native of Haverfordwest, i know the town exceptionally well. This is how I know how central The Mariner's location is. The staff here are outstanding. The rooms generous, clean & comfortable. The place oozes a unique charm (it's 400 years old). "I booked on line which i wont ever do again ,the rooms are so small and badly decorated ,bathrooms need sprucing up very difficult with no shelves in bathroom ,also the stools by the kettle to high for the elderly to get up on ,i know it was a cheap price ,but honestly i would prefer travelodge ,decent chairs to sit on with plenty of teas ,coffee etc good lighting plugs by mirrors ,no tidy place to sit ,and advertising sea view had to stand on bed to see it. So for me we wouldnt stay there again...

"We loved our stay, the room was a perfect size for a family of four, comfortable beds and very clean. The pool was great for our children and the breakfast was a combination of are to order and buffet. The food was delicious and there were children options which was brilliant. A special mention goes to the outstanding dinner we had at their restaurant, the Marigold. The food was exceptional, both for the adults and the children meals were loved by both our daughters.
