"Nice hotel, reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel in general was a little tired around the edges but it was clean and had soft towels! We were in room 9 with a sea view which was much like the sea view in Fawlty Towers but we werenโt there to specifically stare out of the windowโฆ and the tv needed switched on and off at the wall because the power button on the remote doesnโt work. Doesnโt sound like much of an issue other than the plug is about 7โ high and Iโm only 5โ Breakfast was good!"

"Lovely hotel for a quick trip to Wales celebrating our mums 86th birthday. Loved the history and, though somewhat dated, the rooms were comfortable."

"The property is mixed bunkhouse and other room types. We booked the suite which was very roomy and comfortable. The vibe is very relaxed with a bit of a backpacker feeling. There is a friendly bar and the breakfast was a combo of self serve and custom breakfast. Staff were super friendly and accompanied. It is close to lots of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would go back."

"A one night stay to allow my son and I to stay over after climbing Snowdon. Perfectly located, a premium was paid because of this. A simple twin bedded room in the coach house, ideal for our needs. A bath was appreciated, bubble bath would have been a nice touch. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. This was consistent throughout the hotel, especially the young man serving in the bar in the evening and also a waitress at breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was self service and substantial. Highly recommended. An all round excellent stay, ยฃ166, breakfast included and free parking."

"The hotel is quaint and very friendly. It is especially dog friendly which many guests appreciated. Our room was large and comfortable with its own bathroom. Michelle our host was extremely friendly and accommodating. I had lamb shanks for dinner which was a huge serving and very delicious. My husband had the muscles and was left with enough room to finish my large serving. A walk through the lovely gardens ended our evening perfectly. The road up is narrow and not for the faint of heart."
